Entry is free, but registration is required, and all forms must be received by Friday, June 6—no late entries will be accepted. Each age category will have three winners—1st, 2nd, and 3rd place—who will receive medals and prizes.

Participants are encouraged to create artwork that celebrates this year's 4th of July theme of "70 Strong:Happy Birthday Oak Creek", or simply let their creativity flow. To take part, you must be registered in advance—same-day registration will not be allowed. Chalk areas will be assigned upon check-in, which begins at 3:00 p.m. and closes at 3:45 p.m. sharp.

For materials, participants may bring their own washable chalk, brushes, or water (chalk paint is prohibited). Chalk will be provided for those who need it. Artwork must be family-friendly, and any designs deemed inappropriate by the judges will result in disqualification.

Entries will be judged based on creative expression, use of color, design, artistic talent appropriate to the participant’s age, and overall impression. The decisions of the judges are final.

By my signature below I attest the above information is correct and agree to the following regarding the contest I, or my child (for under age 18 artists), has permission to enter the contest and I grant the City of Oak Creek, a royalty-free, perpetual license to create, use and publish photographs, film or video of my chalk art design for myself or my minor child. I release the City of Oak Creek and its employees, volunteers and related parties from any and all liability from such use and publication. My chalk art will be suitable for public, family and children viewing (no nudity, profanity or any other art that would be offensive). I will not use any words or symbols intended for political statement. No gang related symbols or group affiliations are allowed.
